Change of opening times for Evenwood Branch Surgery

As from 1st September the branch surgery at Evenwood will be closed on FridayChange of opening times for Evenwood Branch Surgery

The opening times are Monday 4pm to 5pm and Wednesday 8.30am to 9.30am

The surgery at Cockfield will be open all day Friday 8.30 am to 6pm

We apologise for any inconvenience caused

From 1st July you will be able to book an appointment to be seen by an Emergency Healthcare Practitioner or Healthcare Assistant on Saturday and Sunday at the Extended Hours Clinic at Bishop Auckland General Hospital. These clinics are run by the Durham Dales Health Federation and need to be booked by phoning our receptionists.

Repeat Prescription Requests

We now only accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone if you are housebound or have exceptional circumstances.  We encourage you to register  and use the online service or you can drop your prescription off at your local branch or send by post.

Care Navigation - New ways for your local GP practice to help you get to the right support. The Receptionist may ask you a few questions to help navigate you to the best person, they wont try to diagnose your problem but you may need to tell them a little bit about why you are calling

Christmas & New Year Bank Holiday 2019/2020

 The surgery will be closed :

Christmas Day  - Wednesday 25th December

Boxing Day - Thursday 26th December

New Years Day  - Wednesday 1st January

If you have a medical emergency when the surgery is closed please call 111. You can be offered an appointment to be seen at the Local Hub at Barnard Castle or Bishop Auckland between 6-8pm weekdays and weekend mornings. 

Please remember the A&E departments are extremely busy at this time of year and please try and avoid going if possible.  Always contact your GP first, or visit your local Pharmacy for any minor ailments.

Please ensure you order your repeat prescription in good time.
